Michael completed a good amount of work this morning. Very productive today.

The last hour of the day Michael was participating in art class and asked to use the restroom. A staff member took him over to the other side as all staff were with students in art. Staff waited for him but he wanted staff to leave. Staff was near class door by back hallway, Michael wanted staff to leave the area and staff said I am just going to wait and we will go back to art. He was upset because he wanted staff to leave. Staff took a few steps back into the room but did have to go back into the hall to turn the light on as it was turned off by him and it gets dark back there.
Michael was angry and went back into the classroom and lay down by his desk. Staff remained in the room but did not engage in discussion as he was quiet. Michael got up and started pacing and talking loudly. He threw a chair but was careful to make sure the staff was not in the way. Michael talked very loudly about things he likes to watch where people break things. Staff held brief conversation to try to de-escalate as he was talking loudly and seeming to get angrier. Michael was given a verbal direction to have some time to calm as he did not want to be sent home. He used pacing, and his talk became quieter. As he calmed himself, Michael picked up the chair and walked it to the trash. Michael was calmer and went to the parking lot to calm himself. He walked around the lot a bit, talked to another student who was getting ready to leave for the day. He was calm by the time he left at 2:45. Dad had been called to let him know of situation and arrived a bit early to pick Michel up.
