A difficult day for Ashton. He did not complete any homework sent home yesterday. Ashton would not walk this morning per the schedule. He lay on the floor and refused to work. He refused to attend music class. At 11:45 he got off the floor and wanted to go into the lunch area to visit with students who were having lunch. He was told to return to his work space until his lunch time. Ashton went back and sat at his desk. He talked to staff and often asked for the time as he was waiting for his 1:00 transportation. Ashton walked out of the building without permission. He did not return to his desk when told to do so by staff. Ashton went into the classroom next door and refused to leave when staff gave him the direction. Ashton also blocked the door so his teacher could not enter the classroom. Staff gave a second request for Ashton to return to class. Ashton refused. Ashton then opened a door that is off limits to students to enter. He was reminded of the consequences of going through the door and directed to stop and return to his classroom. Ashton refused and went through the door. He then went through it a second time. Ashton went outside and his transportation had arrived. Parent notified by phone as there will be consequences for his behavior and the use of the prohibited doorway.
