When Zach arrived this morning he would not work despite numerous attempts to engage him. Zach was offered help to complete work. He lay on the floor in an area he was not assigned to. Mr. McClane encouraged Zach to get some work done and offered to bring the work to Zach. Zach said rude, and derogatory remarks to him. Zach was given time and space and the offer to help him with work when he was ready.
Zach lay on the floor until 10:30 and then wandered the room, swore to no-one in particular, but loud enough so that all students could hear. Zach left the room and entered the classroom next door, causing disruption in their quiet work environment. Some inappropriate comments were said. Staff requested Zach return to his classroom. After a minute he complied. When he was back in the room, Zach went into closets, took things from drawers and moved them to other places in the room.
Zach's behavior was becoming more disruptive. He picked up a divider wall in a disruptive and agitative manner.

Zach was taken home. The work that was not completed on Tuesday and Wednesday was sent home with Zach to complete.
