Ashton refused to walk this morning per the schedule.
He sat in a chair with his fleece jacket over his head. Despite offers to help him get started on his work, Ashton refused the help for the first 90 minutes if his school day.
Ashton then had a snack and accepted the offer of assistance to get started on his work.
Much off topic talk ensued as staff tried to keep him on task.
One assignment was completed with assistance and then Ashton was given a choice of which task he would complete next.
Ashton did not want to work and instead tried to go into another room where students were working quietly. Ashton was not allowed in the room and he persisted. He stepped back and used a full force kick on the door to get in. He talked of wanting to say hurtful and derogatory comments to the students. As his behavior and verbal threats escalated, a local police officer was called to diffuse the situation. After discussion with the police officer and explanation of consequences, Dianna took Ashton home. Parent called to apprise her of the situation.
