Zach needed some time before he was ready to start his day. He was frustrated when he arrived. He left his science project book at home and said he ripped up the few assignments he had completed. I told him to bring them in on Monday to see if they could be salvaged and taped together as he said he tore in half. Discussion had that the condition of the assignments would determine if it could be used or need to be redone.

Zach said he was still not feeling well today and complained of being cold.
When Zach got to work with the teacher he was able to accomplish some work. He took a few short breaks throughout the morning. Zach was supported for assignment completion throughout the day which helped to improve his attitude from the start of the day.
Zach and the teacher discussed what project work he could accomplish over the weekend to make up for some of the lost time. He was given the work from his assignment list that he is capable of completing independently (vocabulary and diagrams). Teacher wrote out the assignments with Zach as he looked in the book to be sure he understood the expectations. Discussion had with Zach that if he completes the assignments he took home today and is ready to work Monday, it is possible to complete project 2 and be ready to start the next project on Tuesday.
