Ashton needed some time before he was ready to work this morning.
He went into music class this morning at 9:30.
After music, he was not ready to work. After given 10 minutes to transition, he said he would start on his reading, which he does independently each day. He did not start on his reading. He was offered options and support.
Ashton left his work space and went into another room without permission. He moved book shelves and pushed his way into an area he was not to be in. The teacher tried to deny him access but he went in and then would not leave the room.
Later he went into his work space with a staff member and after sitting quietly for awhile, he left his area and went over to another student and said hurtful things to her.
Ashton's mother was called to take him home. He refused to go home with her and would not leave.
Work sent home with Ashton.
