Ashton refused to walk first thing this morning. He put his head down and would not work. At times he wandered about or talked about topics unrelated to completing an assignment. He was disruptive to others who were trying to work.
Ashton seemed very anxious today. He was encouraged to take a walk as he become more agitated. He did take a walk at about 11:00 this morning. He continued to struggle with focus and following the rules. At one point he kicked the room divider down instead of walking around it. He picked it up and put it back in place and sat down at his desk. He was more determined to get back on track as he did not want to go home early today. He then worked on his math assignment with help from staff.
Ashton completed very few assignments today even though he had one-on-one support by the staff member he most enjoys working with. He did spend the last half hour talking to a mentor who comes to check in with students most Thursdays. He had an appropriate conversation with the mentor before leaving for the day.
