Aiden needed 30 minutes at the start of the day until he was ready to engage in conversation or work.
Once he was ready to start he put forth good effort on his math assignment (basic division facts) and he wanted it corrected right away to see how he did. He made only one error and he wanted to correct it right away so that he could have a perfect score.
Aiden took a walk with staff and one other student and then it was time for lunch.
After lunch, Aiden worked with staff to read an article for reading and then had help to answer the questions. He completed a science lesson with help as well. After 1:00, Aiden was having difficulty focusing on his work and said he was done. He went outside and was not willing to complete other assignments.
Aiden was antagonistic toward anther student who was outside. He insisted that the student said derogatory things to him but staff was outside and did not hear comments directed toward Aiden. Aiden continued to try to verbally engage the student by calling the student names and shouting at him. The student went on a walk with staff and then back to class. Aiden stayed outside with staff until his ride came shortly after.
