Max had a difficult transition to school this Monday morning. He came into school and went straight to the quiet area in the hallway. Max's teacher game him time to regroup and set a timer. Max slept. He refused to participate in the morning walk and did not complete his morning work.
Max's dad came to meet with Max and Ms Dianna. After the meeting, Max was not ready to work and went back to the quiet area in the hallway. Max completed an assignment.
This afternoon after lunch and he was given a break outside with some students to play ball but he had difficulty getting along with a younger student. Both boys were physical while playing ball and they came inside to separate, calm and regulate. Max went to his work space when he came inside.
