Jude came in quietly this morning. He didn't respond when greeted by staff. He put his head down on his desk. Jude was offered a snack and water, which he declined. He did not walk this morning with the group per the schedule because he was not ready to engage.
After an hour, Jude got up from his desk and walked into the back hallway. When asked where he was going he said the bathroom. He was reminded to let staff know before leaving the room. Jude worked on math and a reading assignment this morning. He did not complete the reading questions correctly and he said it was because he didn't read it. (Staff had offered to read the article with Jude when assigned and he said he wanted to complete it on his own.) Jude and staff talked about the article and discussed the questions/answers.
Jude took breaks this morning. He took movement breaks, used fidgets and drew pictures.
Jude did not want to eat lunch today. He was given another chance to eat after his scheduled time in case he was hungry but he said he was not hungry. Jude took a walk with staff and peers after lunch time. He seemed to enjoy the walk.
With breaks, Jude worked on some of his science lessons this afternoon. He completed the daily self-evaluation sheet before leaving today. Jude organized his desk and materials as well.
