Layla as slow to start academics this morning. She talked about last night's storm and the fact that the sirens were going off and she couldn't sleep. She was also happy to see the return of a staff member who has been gone for a family medical issue and wanted to know how all were doing.
Layla walked with two staff and three other students this morning and then worked on math until music.
She participated in music class and then worked on her science article until lunch.
After lunch, Layla worked on her writing assignment. She asked for a walk mid afternoon. After her walk she was able to complete some of her afternoon assignments with better focus.
