Bryce had difficulty getting along with staff and peers today. He wandered about and refused to stay in one place for very long. He was moody, disruptive and off task for the day. He often made a choice for work and then changed his mind and refused.
Bryce was mad because a student tried to offer him some of his lunch and Bryce was already agitated so he responded in an angry tone and left the room. Bryce returned to the room and said hurtful things to the student. He was disrespectful to staff when redirected. The other peer and a staff left to finish lunch in another area but the peer rolled his eyes at Bryce as he had to pick up his lunch and leave the room. Bryce spent the next hour trying to get into the room the other student went into threatening bodily harm. He tried to get other students to join him in his quest to get to the student. He kicked doors and tried to talk students in the other class to open the door. He messed up the student's work space/materials as he knows this student keeps a neat and organized space. Bryce was very angry when the other student did not come back to the classroom for the rest of the day. By 1:45 pm, Bryce was starting to calm and sat with staff at a desk and talked. Without being told, Bryce tried to clean and put things back into place in the student's work area but lost patience so he did not finish. Bryce made it to the 2:25 pick up for transportation with 1:1 attention from staff, distraction of favored topics, and movement around the room. Another day without work completed. He started math but didn't finish and participated in half of his reading lesson.
