Aiden had a difficult day. He wandered about the classroom and was impatient and easily agitated. At about 9:45 Aiden requested to take a walk. He wanted to go by himself and he was told yes to a walk with a staff member. He agreed to go with staff. While on the walk, Aiden went on private property and at first refused to get off the property when told to do so by staff. Staff called school and another staff member came for support and assist if needed. Staff and Aiden were a short distance from school. When Aiden finally did step off the property he was disrespectful to staff and was instigating conflict. Aiden used disrespectful and derogatory words. Aiden walked right back to school and stood outside. He was talking disrespectfully and insisted he didn't do anything wrong.
Chad, Aiden's dad, was called to apprise him of the situation. Shortly after Aiden returned to school Andy arrived for his scheduled Thursday visit and helped staff and Aiden process the situation. Aiden continued to have challenges regulating and as a result Aiden went home early today.
