Bryce had a difficult day today. He had difficulty focusing and was often impatient with others. Bryce did some work this morning and put forth good effort on his math and reading lesson. He reused walks throughout the day. He did not participate in music and did not complete his science assignments. Bryce swore a lot this morning and when staff asked him to stop he was verbally disrespectful and increased the swearing. There was some pushing by Bryce. It took Bryce about 20 minutes to calm down and he talked to his dad on the phone. At first he was angry that staff called dad and then he agreed to talk to him. Bryce was off task much of the rest of the day and said he had a stomach ache last night but was feeling better today. This afternoon, Bryce started talking about how mad he is at his sister and the more he talked the angrier he got. Staff worked to help him regulate and tried to distract but he was very angry. Bryce said that a new student (day 2), put up his middle finger at him. Bryce was making verbal threats and when the student went to work in another classroom. Bryce tried to get into the room several times. He refused walks, the park, time outside, talk to an adult, call to dad. Bryce tore pictures and paper off of the student's work space when the student was not present and threw a chair in an empty room. Bryce finally was able to talk with staff and he sat with staff in the hall to wait for his ride. He talked just a little about the incident but mostly sat quietly and had a snack that he had in his lunch bag. Bryce was calm when he left.
