Layla did not want to take her medication this morning. She said that her grandpa said she didn't have to take it if she didn't want to. We discussed the fact that until we get a message from guardians and doctor stating otherwise she should take it. She tried to hide it in her hand before taking it. She had a respectful conversation about the issue and got back to work.
The rest of the day Layla had positive interactions with both peers and staff and completed her work throughout the day.
She is working with staff to stay on track to complete assignments for project 2 which is due next Friday.
