Hunter arrived 15 minutes early this morning. He had his Woodland shirt and came in quietly and appropriately.
Despite given the direction to remove his winter coat and wear his Woodland fleece if he was cold, Hunter did not take it off for the first 40 minutes.
Hunter visited with staff for a short time and then got to work on his math. Hunter completed his math independently with a teacher nearby for focus and questions.
Hunter took a short break after math and worked with staff to read a science lesson and complete a worksheet. Some longer answers are scribed for Hunter. Today, Hunter was more willing to do some of the writing (single word responses) without argument.
Today was pizza for lunch day and Hunter joined the students for a slice of pizza and conversation. He was quiet but responded to students when spoken to.
Hunter wanted to start looking for his ride 20 minutes early but he was redirected to his next academic task and was able to complete it before leaving. Hunter was impatient when his ride was late but he stood by the door with staff and was able to maintain appropriate behavior until picked up. At one point he said he was going to start walking but staff assured him that if his ride wasn't here within the next 4 minutes (11:45), staff would make a phone call to family to find out ETA. Hunter's ride arrived at 11:45.
