Hunter entered quietly and responded appropriately to greetings from staff. He had on his Woodland shirt and was ready to start his school day. Hunter had some polite conversation before getting started on his academic work.
Hunter put forth good effort on his math work with staff.
He asked for a break after math and was given a 5 minute break. With 1:1 assistance, Hunter completed a science template for Chapter 1 in his biology assignments. Lesson 1 information was read to Hunter and the concepts and discussions were discussed with Hunter. By 10:30 Hunter said he was done and not going to work anymore. He stepped outside and sat on a chair. A discussion was had about asking permission for a break instead of saying I'm not going to work anymore. He said he understood and took about 25 minutes to come back to his work space. Hunter did not walk today and avoiding tasks requiring writing. He had difficulty maintaining focus on tasks the last hour of the day but with 1:1 support and modeling, Hunter was able to do part of one more assignment with staff before leaving today. Hunter left with a positive attitude today.
