Hunter arrived 1/2 hour early today. He came in appropriately and per teacher prompt put on his school shirt.
Hunter went to a space to sit and when staff approached he yelled get away from me I am sick. Staff talked about how to communicate the need for space more appropriately.
Hunter did not want to be a part of the audience to watch a student science presentation (9:10) so he was asked to wait in the quiet area for 10 minutes, with staff supervision in the doorway. He did not want a book or art supplies and asked to sit on one of the special chairs. He stayed in the assigned area for 6 minutes and then wandered into the classroom next door. Staff then had him start on his math assignment which he was able to do with minimal support.
After math, Hunter was able to do his volcano activity. He did a good job of reading and following the directions and following the steps. Although there was minimal cleanup to do, Hunter needed some prompts for cleanup and was not a willing participant.
After taking his walk, Hunter finished his last assignment and then was able to play cards for 15 minutes with Nick.
