Bryce had a very difficult day today. He wanted to drink a caffeinated beverage at school which is not allowed at Woodland. Bryce said that Ms. Dianna said he could and Ms Dianna stated that he could have it at home before coming to school, if parents approved of that. Bryce got very angry at staff. He swore, verbally threatened, threw a water bottle on the ground and kicked the door in.
Bryce had a very difficult time letting go of his anger for the first hour of school. He went to Life striders and did some orientation training with staff this morning and was appropriate. When he returned and was in front of his peers his behavior was disrespectful and very short tempered. Bryce refused walks and breaks. With support and corrective feedback, Bryce was able to improve his behavior but was very off task throughout the rest of the day.
