Aiden had a difficult day today. He was upset this morning that Abbey came to see him around 9:00. He said it was too early and he wasn't ready. She said she would come back later. Another student who was passing by Aiden said that Aiden said something negative to him. This caused friction between the two students and they were separated in their own work spaces. The other student went outside and the two started arguing and yelling threats at each other. Aiden threw a basketball at the student as the staff was separating the students but it missed him. The other student at that time walked away and into his classroom. Aiden would calm for awhile and staff were vigilant to keep the students separated and calm. Aiden had difficulty letting go of his frustration and would try to get into the classroom and tried to aggravate the other students. Racial comments and verbal threats started again. Police were called to help de-escalate to be sure all remained safe. Aiden responded to the officers and they did not need to take further action with either student.
