Sawyer was happy to see some of his friends and even staff this morning. He admitted that it was difficult getting back to his school routine but he had a positive attitude and was very enthusiastic about his trip.
After a walk, snack, water and conversation, Sawyer got to work. He was tired and had difficulty focusing on his math so we set math aside and switched to science. Sawyer was able to complete some of his assignments before needing a break. He showed interest in working independently and asked for help as needed.
As the day progressed it was challenging for Sawyer to focus on his work. He needed movements breaks, conversation and a change in work space the last half of the afternoon. He maintained a positive, patient attitude even though he struggled with work completion.
