Layla had a good start to her day today. She came in and after a bit of conversation she got started on her work.
Layla had some difficulty working in a small group today. She was working with a teacher and one other student on a history lesson. She wanted to rush ahead without reading the lesson and try to complete the assignment before it was time. She walked away from the lesson without permission and said she didn't want to participate in the discussion. I took her back to the group and explained about working together during a small group lesson and taking turns talking and sharing ideas. Layla stayed with the group the rest of the lesson and completed the assignment. She did a good job of completing her assignments the rest of the day.
