Layla seemed to have a good attitude when she first arrived at school. However. she immediately went under her desk and tried to sleep right away. She did get up and sit at her desk when told to do so. She had an extremely difficult time staying on task and it took her over an hour to get one Math sheet completed. At one point, she ran out of the room into the pouring rain without her shoes on. She then sat on a bench and told her teacher she was having a panic attack.
We had a talk about what else she could do if she experienced another panic attack. Layla needed prompts throughout the morning to keep her of task. After lunch and a brief walk, Layla settled down but still was very talkative. She was able to get some of her project work done in the afternoon with support from staff.
