Ashton came to school with his home work completed.
He would not walk today and put his head down on his desk.
He did not attend music class and when he got overly frustrated with the noise that he could hear from the other room he walked to anther space. He did not verbally communicate his feelings but when offered to go to the classroom next door until music was over he stated he would like to do so. When music was over Ashton returned to his work space. One of the staff from that side offered to help him transition back to his work space and offered to help him work. Ashton said he did not need help but was also struggling to regulate enough to get started. Staff offered to stay in his work area in case he changed his mind. At first Ashton said ok but then told him to go away. After about 30 minutes of his head down, Ashton started to rock in his chair and bang his desk. Shoulder pressure was given and it helped to regulate him. Ashton asked for more shoulder pressure shortly after.
Ashton took work home to complete and return to school in the morning.
