Zach wanted to work before his walk today. I told him he could do math and then walk but that he would be walking soon so he may have to finish his math when he returned. Zach got started on math and then asked to use the bathroom. When he went on the other side to use the bathroom the staff asked him to walk with the group getting ready to go soon. He said he didn't have to because he was doing math. I had not realized the plan was to walk right away. Zach did not want to talk about it with staff and came back to the room. Discussions had about communication and that I also misunderstood the plan for walking. We talked and he asked to talk to his mom. Zach called mom and then got to work on his math. Zach did walk after math. He was cooperative and with short breaks got his morning work completed by lunch. He took a break but did not want to eat lunch. He wanted to put his head down instead of eat, Zach was tired the last hour of the day. He was offered fresh air, water, change in work place the last hour but he wanted to stay at his desk and with help completed some of his afternoon work.
