Sophie was a little quiet when she arrived this morning but was cooperative and ready to work.

About mid-morning she requested a break and appeared to be upset about something. She said she was worried about her mom's health and needed some space and didn't want to talk yet. She asked to sit outside and was told she could have some time and then I would come to talk to her. After 10 minutes she was ready to talk and shared her concern. After the conversation, Sophie came inside and worked with staff to complete her work until lunch time. She asked to call dad to ask how her mom was and she agreed that a text to dad would be a good idea as dad could respond by text and let Sophie know how her mom was doing. Dad texted Sophie in the afternoon and she was glad to her the text.
Sophie got through the day with another short break and minimal support from staff. She focused on her work and said she felt better before leaving for the day.
