Philomena remembered it was a classmates birthday today and said Happy Birthday when she arrived at school. She also asked anther student how her birthday was, as the student had a birthday two days ago. Philomena had conversation at break time with two girls today. The students sang Happy Birthday to the two students and Philomena joined them.

Philomena completed a math sheet with regrouping today. She wanted to try completing it without manipulatives and at times used a hundreds chart to complete.
She asked good clarifying questions if she was not sure how to complete a problem. Good job.
Philomena read a fable today and completed comprehension questions about the article. (The Ant and the Grassshopper).
Before leaving, Philomena said she had a good day but she does not like the new boy because she doesn't like the way he looks and he seems kind of weird. We talked about the fact that he is new and just getting familiar with the school. I also assured her that we do not interact with the students from the other side unless we have a birthday celebration or special school activity, which do not occur very often. It was a positive step that she shared that comment with me and that she seemed to accept that he might also not feel comfortable around new students yet.
