Ashton did not walk this morning.
He lay on the floor when he arrived at school and would not work. At 10:30 he sat up and ate a snack. He refused offers of help from staff.
Ashton left his work area and went into the classroom next door. He did not have a reason for being over there and refused to leave when staff gave the direction to return to his work space. The classroom was evacuated and when the students left their classroom to go outside, Ashton followed them. Ashton refused to return to his classroom. When the students were taken inside to the kitchen Ashton followed and tried to enter the kitchen. Staff gave him the direction to return to his work area. Ashton went to his work area and lay on the floor refusing to cooperate. Jeff was called to let him know of the situation and to talk to Ashton to try to help him comply with the directions. Ashton refused to talk to Jeff, using inappropriate language. Ashton was taken home for the rest of the day.
