Ashton refused to work today. He put his head down on his desk until 11:30 even though he was offered help to complete assignments on a regular basis, offered shoulder pressure and offered to talk or take a walk.
The last hour of his day, Ashton wandered about and was occasionally noncompliant with staff. He sat at his work space for a short time but refused to work and stated he would not be taking work home with him. When I offered for him to sit quietly with staff who was working with a student he swore (f-word) and told me to go away. The last 15 minutes of his day he walked over to the other classroom without permission and banged on a closet door before leaving for the day.
