Hunter came in non-communicative and showing signs of disregulation. He sat without responding to staff, fists clenched, sometimes pounding fist on the table. He was offered water, time outside. He declined all. Hunter was given quiet space and time before trying to engage again. Hunter showed signs of increased frustration. Staff tried to help him name an emotion and reason. Hunter was again offered water and he accepted. He was offered a walk or time outside and he chose to sit outside for a short time. He then chose to work in a different work space. Hunter played a game with staff. Due to an unexpected change in his schedule, Hunter was able to play a game a little longer than planned. Hunter completed his math independently today.
Hunter ended the day with a positive attitude.
