It took Layla 15 minutes to get started on her assignments.
She talked to staff and peers and got some water.
Layla worked on math and reading this morning and was a bit off task in anticipation of having pizza for lunch. Layla also requested to say hello to her aunt who picked up her brother today at 11:00. She does not usually request to say hello so she was given permission to say hi while the aunt was waiting for her brother to come outside.
Layla talked with staff and peers during lunch. Layla worked after lunch until she took a break with the other students and staff to talk with a visitor who brought his dog. The weather was nice so the students gathered outside to talk with the visitor and to spend time with the dog. She needed some support to get back on track (teacher proximity, a few verbal prompts) and then was able to work on her assignments until dismissal.
