Sawyer was crabby and disrespectful when he arrived this morning. He was hungry and was given food and then time to regulate before taking a walk with staff.
Sawyer had 1-1 support for math and project assignment completion this morning. He had lunch with peers but needed reminders for his use of inappropriate language and topics being discussed. At some point Sawyer did not have his uniform shirt on during lunch. He was directed to put his shirt on and then would be going for a walk. Sawyer refused to put his shirt on and became argumentative with staff. He used foul language, racial slurs, and refused to comply. Sawyer needed about 35 minutes to himself in his own space to regulate. He said he was ready to join the art class in progress. Discussion was had and apology before entering art class. With staff support, Sawyer finished the afternoon without incidence. He completed very little work this afternoon. Much energy and very talkative the last hour of his day.
