Hunter greeted staff when he arrived which is a skill we have been working on. He did not go to his work space but sat quietly in the community room. He was given 5 minutes and then staff requested he put on his Woodland shirt and start the day. He refused and was a little disrespectful but then rephrased his comment to a more acceptable response.
Staff and Hunter talked and he was given some time to think about how his day will go. Hunter took his shirt, put it on and stepped outside to pace. He was calm and walked in the lot. Staff had eyes on Hunter and then he started to walk off the property and would not stop and come back. Staff followed and he walked a short distance more and then turned around and returned to the property. He apologized right away and said he was looking to see if his aunt was down the street in her car. Staff and Hunter had a talk about the seriousness of leaving the property and again he said he was sorry and then went into school. Sadie arrived and he
completed some work. He enjoyed some lunch and made a plan for some science activities for next week before leaving today.
