Comments

Aiden wore ear phones to school today and he refused to take them off and ignored staff. He did not complete assignments today although he said he would work on them later in the morning.
After lunch, Aiden made a negative comment about a student's weight which was met with a middle finger gesture by another student who heard the comment. Students were separated and at their work spaces. Aiden became focused on talking about wanting to fight with the other student because of the middle finger gesture. Staff tried to distract Aiden's thoughts that were very focused on the other student. They were unsuccessful at trying to redirect his attention, switch topics. Aiden would redirect to his choice of topics.
The other student was off campus for most of the afternoon but Aiden was still focused on the student and how to get him mad.
At the end of the day, Aiden went into the student's work space and took down some of his pictures and put the pictures and his books on the floor. None of the student's belongings were damaged.
Aiden told staff he did it so the student would get mad and want to fight. Then Aiden could say it was self defense for fighting the student.
