Sophie was off task this morning. After her walk she lay down without permission and said she needed to rest because she was not feeling well. When she got to work, Sophie was talkative and did a lot of drawing when she should have been working. She needed many prompts and did not want staff support for focus and assignment completion.
Sophie drew during music class even though she was prompted to put her drawing aside. It did help her stay in the music lesson but her participation was low. She was a bit short tempered with staff and needed several prompts and wait time for compliance in following directions.
Sophie was more productive during the afternoon. She worked independently and did not want assistance. She had difficulty following the directions on her assignments but was impatient when staff tried to explain the directions/expectations to her. Sophie worked hard to keep her patience and used her strategies to cope and maintain throughout the day.
