| Comments | Ashton had a good start to his day. He took a walk and after a little procrastination he completed his first assignment. At about 10:30, after snack break, Ashton complained about having a bad day and not feeling well and that he couldn't focus even though the room was quiet and staff was available to assist with assignment completion. He avoided doing work for about 45 minutes. He was not disruptive or disrespectful at this time but was not productive. After deep shoulder pressure and conversation he was offered to work outside for a time since it was a nice day. He was give some worksheets that required less writing but were a part of the curriculum for the content he was working on. Sitting outside in the sun for 20 minutes was beneficial and he completed all tasks given to him before coming in for lunch. Ashton made up lost time by choosing to have a shortened lunch period to catch up on his work. Ashton joined a social group consisting of two other boys and a male mentor for a short time before returning to his work. |
