Layla went on a field trip to the Wehr Nature Center today.
She completed the entire hike with the group. Layla was engaged and helped take water samples when prompted. She was in charge of holding a large net but was swinging it so she was taken off net duty. Layla needed prompts to stay with her assigned group. She often hung back from the group to walk with another student who was not assigned with her group.
At one point, Layla was told to stay on the path instead of walking on the edge. She would not comply and as a result fell and got a little muddy and scraped her leg.
When she returned to school, Layla completed her field trip writing assignment and worked on an art project until her transportation arrived. She ended the day with a positive attitude.
